EA3 READER

Today students read a text UNDER THE STREET from the "English Andventure 3 Reader" and studied new vocabulary too.

Students developed their reading and writing skills by doing and copying in their notebooks exercises that are on p.13of English Adventure 3.

Imaginary Character

We finished Unit 1 from English Adventure , p.12

And did Part 1 of an imaginary characrter.

We worked on Chapter 1 from English Adventure 3 , p.11

And did a role play in a shop.

The grasshopper and the Ant

Today we came back to the text "The grasshopper and the ant" and after making the difference between the direct and indirect speech we copied the text and created a book, sort of comics that looks like the following .

And then students acted like the characters from the story.

Bakuriani Holidays

After missing 2 lessons due to the trip to Bakuriani, we talked about impressions that students got from their trip and holidays in Bakuriani.
We studied lots of new words and expressions.

Lemon tree

Today we read a story of

The Ant and the Grasshopper

"Why not come and chat with me," said the Grasshopper, "instead of toiling and moiling in that way?"

"I am helping to lay up food for the winter," said the Ant, "and recommend you to do the same."

"Why bother about winter?" said the Grasshopper; we have got plenty of food at present." But the Ant went on its way and continued its toil.

When the winter came the Grasshopper found itself dying of hunger, while it saw the ants distributing, every day, corn and grain from the stores they had collected in the summer.

Then the Grasshopper knew...

It is best to prepare for the days of necessity.

After translating and writing down all the new words from the fable  we watched the following video :

Grasshoper was dying of hunger- T/F

We also listened to the extract from the song "Lemon Tree" ( see the definition of the words in the pevious blog)

Homework:

Learn all the new words from "Lemon Tree" as well as the song itself.

Today we also revised Present Continuous . We read an extract of lyrics of "Lemon tree". Students had to find and underline the verbs that were in the present continuous.

We translated  lyrics of the song and wrote down all the new words that we are supposed to learn at the next lesson.
